The Saint Pius baseball team is currently 4-8. Due to a rainy spring, many of their games this season have been canceled. Although their record isn’t in the positive, the Warriors are fighting hard to bring themselves back to the District Championship game and once again claim the title.
“The team has coped well with the many interruptions due to the weather this year and we’re looking forward to a repeat of District Champs,” said Head Baseball Coach Rick Ringel.
The boys are led this year by the hard working Seniors who are trying to inspire the team and potentially lead them to more victories.
“We’re having a lot of fun this year, even though our record isn’t as good as last year.
We are looking forward to Districts and repeating last last year,” said Senior Bobby McCoy.
The baseball team may not have a perfect record, but they are trying their best to honor what the athletic department represents, hard working boys who come together to fight for every one of their games. The District Championship game will be May 18th and get that W. Join the Warriors on Tuesday May 2nd when they face off against the Pembroke Red Raiders.
